Hockey Session (Under 14s): Right side hockey

Essence:

Passing and receiving right.

Structure:

Split the group into two half at A and half at B. Players receive a ball from their right through the first red gate and pass to their right through the second red gate. Players starting at A will end up at B and vica versa.

Pointers:

- Ensure players feet point forward when receiving and passing, forcing their upper body to rotate rather than their lower.

- Try to promote a prominate left elbow- if the left elbow is tucked in the pass is more inclined to lift.

Variation:

1) The distances can be made greater/smaller

2) The red gates can be made bigger/smaller
