Instructions:
Player 1 passes the ball forward for player 2 to run on to. Player 2 takes a couple of touches to dribble towards goal and then shoots. Player 1 now becomes player 2 and the previous player that was behind player 1 is now the new player 1.
Progressions:
1- Shoot with your weaker foot.
2- Player 1 passes the ball froward for player 2 to run on to. Player 3 chases as a defender.
3- Player 1 passes the ball forwardfor player 2 to run on to. Player 2 then takes the ball down the wing and crosses to player 4 who has made a forward run into the box.
4- Player 1 passes the ball forward for player 2 to run on to. Player 2 then takes the ball down the wing and crosses to player 4 who has made a forward run into the box. Player 3 chases back as a defender against the winger.
5- Player 1 passes the ball forward for player 2 to run on to. Player 2 then takes the ball down the wing and crosses to player 4 who has made a forward run into the box. Players 5 acts as a central defender.
6- Player 1 passes the ball forward for player 2 to run on to. Player 2 then takes the ball down the wing and crosses to player 4 who has made a forward run into the box. Player 1 supports the play and gets to the top of the box incase the cross is pulled back or not fully cleared from the defender. Player 5 acts as a central defender.
7- Player 1 passes the ball forward for player 2 to run on to. Player 2 then takes the ball down the wing and crosses to player 4 who has made a forward run into the box. Player 1 supports the play and gets to the top of the box incase the cross is pulled back or not fully cleared from the defender. Player 5 acts as a central defender. Player 3 chases back to defend against the winger.
Coaching Points:
Knock the ball out of your feet slightly to the side of the body before shooting.
Lock your ankle of the kicking foot.
Pull your kicking leg fully back and swing all the way through after striking the ball.
Plant the none kicking foot next to the ball, head over the ball with the body leaning forward.

Organization:
Split the field into 3 sections and split the players into 2 teams with a keeper in each goal. Set up each team with 1 defender, 3 midfielders and 2 strikers. Have all of the balls in each goal.
Instructions:
The coach plays the ball in. The team in possession tries to keep the ball as well as moving it forward into the striker to create as many goal scoring chances as possible. The players can't leave there own areas.
Progressions:
1- an extra midfielder from each team can move into the final third to make a 3v2.
Coaching Points:
Get the ball into the striker quickly.
Shoot if you have the chance.
Move off the ball to good space where you can receive a pass.

Activity 1 (10 mins)
Organization:
Set up a 10x10 grid. Have 1 player on each side with 1 in the middle.
Instructions:
The players on the outside pass the ball around whilst trying to keep it away from the player in the middle. If the middle player intercepts the ball then they swap with the outside player that attempted that pass.
Coaching Points:
Pass the ball away from the defender.
Body position when receiving the ball.
Outside players to move so that they support the player with the ball and create passing lanes.
