Session Set-Up (5 mins)

Creating Overloads (Specific Practice) In Possession:

Key Factors:

- This session is an awareness and intensity driven session.

- Will highlight decisive movements from attackers

- Decision making from midfielder

- 3v2 Overload in the Possesion area. After 5 passes, look to play the ball in to one of the 2 strikers who've created space to come receive the ball. One attacker from the box joins in and receives the lay off from the striker.

Creating the 5v2(+2 Mannequins) overload after possession, needs to be done at match pace intensity.

This creates a decision making moment for the joining midfielder.

Movement Options (10 mins)

Key Factors:

After the 2 sessions of 10 mins running through the patterns of movement.

Allow the players 5-10 mins to play openly, with the patterns fresh in their minds.

We now introduce a recovering midfielder from the Blue Team.

Once the pass is played forward from the possesion area, the defnding player reacts and tracks back to help out against the overload.

It's imperitive that theses attacks are done at macth pace, as these scenarios will be recreating match day attacks.

Players will be given ample recovery between attacks.
