Instructions:
- A takes a touch out of feet to begin game
- B is the attacker. A passes to B upon B's command
- C is the defender. C can also move on A's touch
- B is looking to score in the goals marked 1
- If C wins the ball, they are looking to score in the goals marked 2
- Play game until al goal is scored of the ball goes out of bounds
- Next ball plays immediatley
- Play for 90 seconds, and then rotate roles.
Coaching Points:
- Speed of reaction of defender
- Get touch tight
- Option 1 - Intercept pass and go to goal
- Option 2 - Spoil the pas (poke ball away)
- Option 3 - Prevent the turn and be patient
- Body position and physicality
- Eyes on the ball
- Mentality to win the ball
Progressions:
- 90 seconds per station. Keep score and make it a competition.

1.40 x 25 yard area set up as shown
2.12 players, set up as shown
3.1 ball (Additional around the outside)
Instructions:
1.Teams play 2v1 in each half of the field as they attempt to score in their opponent’s goal
2.Players are restricted to playing and moving only within the zone
3.If the ball leaves the area normal restart rules apply (thrown-ins, corners, and goal kicks)
4.Rotate players after a set time interval
Coaching Points:
1.Deny penetration
2.Speed and angle of approach should force attacker into cover
3.Angle and distance of 2nd defender
4.Ability to change roles quickly and correctly
5.Correct moments to tackle or double team
6.Transition to attack
Progressions:
P – Allow players from defensive zone to follow their pass into the attacking zone to make a 2v2
P – Remove zones and play 3v3 or 4v4
Warm Up (15 mins)
Organization:
1.30 x 30 yard area set up as shown

Instructions:
1.Defending players run out together as a pair and mirror each other movements
2.Players should run with big strides up to the cone and then small strides into the ball, this replicates going quickly then slowing down
3.Players return to their starting position and repeat

P Have players touch the ball with their hand to ensure they are low to the ground and maintaining good body shape
