FUNCTION- 15MINS

Objective is to attack using the lone striker, withdrawn striker, and the 3 included midfielders, with a server at the base of the practice, server plays the ball into the practice for the blue side to start the attack,if the reds win the ball they play into the server and the practice starts again.

KEY FACTORS-Blue team-attacking

-#9's movement to receive the ball or create space

-#10's movement into unoccupied space,to receive the ball or get on the ball to pick out chance creating passes,

-#7 to give width to the attack and get crosses or shots at goal when he receives the ball behind the fullback,

can carry the ball inside to open a space for the strikers

-#6 + #8 to receive the ball from the server and create the attack, can play wide, play into #10, or play into the #9.

Coach the Attacking patterns based on playing style/philosophy

KEY FACTORS- Red team- defending

3 defenders included,2CB and LB

1CM-screener and server is their target man,

defend as a unit, when they win the ball can they find the target man/server?

Defenders- press the ball as often as they can without leaving too much space, screener will be overloaded by the 2 blue CM,his problems will be, when to press? when to drop to protect the defence?

SMALL SIDED GAME- 15MINS

Key Factors

-COACHING THE PLAYERS THAT ARE INRODUCED AFTER THE FUNCTION

-managing the opposition

-coach the details of the attacking patterns and movements

-condition the opposition in relation to the sessions topic

Organisation- 9v9

Reds condition- When they win the ball they can play at the back, but if the ball goes forward past the cones, they have 6 seconds to get a shot at goal,

Blues- CB's need to try play the ball into midfield or Strikers early to begin the attack,

-Coach and affect the players that have joined the SSG that were not included in the function,

blue #11-Can he apply the same attacking movements if the ball is played into him? when the #7 has the ball wide, where is his position in relation to the ball and the attack?

blue CB's, can they receive from the GKand try to play forward to start an attack?

Can they be another option to recycle the ball and switch the play if the reds have pressed the blues back?

Red- the RB, when introduced, where is his position in relation tothe ball and his defensive unit, level with the back post on a opposite side cross?

Manage the reds as opposition.
