For this week we will work on building out from the back. Recognizing the moments when supporting players must spread out in order to create passing lanes. Players must be able to receive the ball in an open body shape in order to penetrate on their first touch. Communication will be key as players must be able identify incoming pressure from the front. Supporting team mates must be attentive as the ball travels as this will be the trigger to move. Goalkeeper will be encouraged to be an attacking player in support of his back line. If a penetrating pass is not available then it is okay to pass back and reset the attack.
