Dribbling and 1 v 1 Attacking

Organization:
Set area of approx 30x30.
Activity:
- Play game 4v4 or 3v3 depending on numbers.
- Goals are scored by dribbling ball in a controlled manner into the End Zone.
- Ensure defending players return to retreat line
- Kick or dribble in if and where ball goes out.
Coaching points:
- Be creative - Don't be afraid to take players on.
- Attack space if given by dribbling with "bigger" touches to allow you get away from defender
- Dribble with your head up to allow to see the field
- Switch the play to the other side if less pressure

Organization:
- Create four squares in the middle of the field (12 by 12) - Only one is shown in the description
- Break Players into pairs (try mix them up - no friends)
- One pair with pinnies
Activity:
- 2 v 2
- Group One passes to Group 2
- Group 2 then tries to work together and dribble past the opposition's line in a controlled manner.
- Each group has 3 turns at attacking and defending - After that the group with the pinnies moves over to tbe next square to challenge another team.
Coaching points:
- Attack with pace.
- Movement off the ball - Provide option
- Try moves (Drop the shoulder; scissors) that you have learned in practice.

- Two Goals on each side - use cones to make the nets
Activity:
- Play game 4v4 or 3v3 depending on numbers.
- Goals are scored by dribbling ball through one of the nets
- Ensure defending players return to retreat line - Player needs to have control when he goes through the net
- Kick or dribble in if and where ball goes out.
Coaching points:
- Be creative - Don't be afraid to take players on.
- Attack space if given by dribbling with "bigger" touches to allow you get away from defender
- Dribble with your head up to allow to see the field
- Switch the play to the other net if its too bunched up.

Organization:
- 10-12 players per area, set with cones. Each player with ball
Activity:
- Each player dribbles in area, performing a skill on coach's command (Toe Taps, Bells, Maradona's, Cruyff's) - Players are encouraged to perform their own skill while waiting for command.
- If Coach starts counting to 10 - Player is to dribble at game speed for 10 seconds
Coaching points.
- Close Ball control - use inside/outside of foot to maintain control of the ball
- Play with your head up to ensure you can see the field and the other players
