SET UP : 2 players with poles, markers in a square 3 x 3 . Player A outside of square approx 3 metres away , balls handy
AIM: 1st & 2 touch (pending skill levels) touch return pass AFTER the player has touched the pole and moved back into position, coaching movement, scanning.
HOW: Player B must start process by moving from the centre of the square to TOUCH a numbered pole and then A plays pass to B (who is in middle of square), and either has 1 or 2 touches before playing a return pass to Player A, at this time Player calls a number and Player B must scan/ move to touch that ball before receiving te next pass - repeat process 2-3 times each pole and swap players.
COACHING POINTS: qUICK feet movement, scanning , head up, good 1 st touch, good communication

1st touch away from coloured marker
SET UP : 2 players with poles, markers in a square 6 x 6. Player A outside of square approx 3 metres away , balls handy
AIM: 1st touch towards a particular coloured or numbered pole and player B to receive on 2nd touch and pass back to Player A. 1st touch is to go towards the pole and get next pass outsdie as shown by lines
HOW: Player A plays pass to B (who is in middle of square), and 1st touch must go towards the corresponding pole (1 2, 3, 4) and player b moves to the outsid eof that marker to play the pass back to Player A, & returns to the centre of the square to repeat process. Do 2-3 reps on each pole before swapping players.
COACHING POINTS: Focus on a good 1st touch towards target, scan early, and quick feet movement.
