Players 3-4 each group
Objective:
-To improve dribbling skills through the use of close control, deceptive foot movements, sudden changes of speed and direction.
Setup:
-3 or 4 players stand behind each cone
-First Part without the ball
-Player runs to first cone and back, once back second player goes and so on.
-Player Runs to the top cone and back, once back second player goes and so on.
Progression:
-Ball is added and repeat the first two steps with the ball.
-Only use left foot, then only use right foot to ensure players are developing both feet.
Practise Tips:
-Players should keep there heads up at all times to maximize thier field of vision
-Emphasize fluid and controlled movement with the ball.
-Make the exercise more challenging by requiring players to increase there dribbling speed.
-Players focus on keeping the ball close to their body so that it is always in their control.
