Rondo 4v2 (or 6v2): Directional small-sided possession, 10x8 yard grid (20 min.)
- 10 passes = defenders stay in again
- Variations: Defenders also stay in when ball goes from one target objective to another through possession, 2-touch/1-touch, 1-touch only
Objectives:
1) Move and use the space properly.
2) Execute technically.
- Emphasis on good positional movements, back pedal/adjust, always being available in a passing lane
- Good, open body position to play in either direction, allow ball to come across body to front foot whenever possible
- Play to target objective players whenever possible without risking possession!
- One support short while the othe supports longer for the split to the extra man.
