Organisation of Drill
Red team set up in 1-4-2-3-1
Blue team 1-4-3-3

Using one half of the field, with a side-line placed 5 yards in form regular side line to make field narrower
Balls will start on the half way line for the server to serve into the GK. 2 mini goals will be placed on the half way line
Blue team starts from centre mid, right back or left back. Coach will mix up start position from these three areas.
Conditions
Red team has 5 seconds to score when the win the ball.
Coaching Points
Narrow and compact 10 yards between lines
Force ball to the outside
Use mid screan to keep ball outside zone 14
When ball is central back four need to be narrow inside the width of the 18

Activity 1 (5 mins)
Organization:
1. Open area set up as shown
2. Cones set up in triangles in a 5 x 5 x 5 yard area, set up as shown
3. 3 players (set up as shown)
4. 2 balls
Instructions:
1. Two players play 1v1 inside the grid, player A and B
2. They have one min to score in one of the gates, players score by dribbling through a gate
3. Players cannot score in their own gate
4. Once a player has scored, the Player C steps onto the field with the ball beginning the next game
5. Players will continue rotation and play for an allotted amount of time
Coaching Points:
1. Attacker attacks at speed
2. When defending player is tight, shield and protect the ball
Progressions:
1. P - Allow active players to use inactive player to create 2v1
2. R - Make playing area bigger
