Session based on learnig and enhancing techniques when dealing with high balls concentrating on the hand shapes, footwork and body shape.

Technical:
create an alley for goalkeepers to work in
split group in two and then they work with the gk opposite.
STEPS:
- Side steps up the alley - roll ball and scoop > throw ball for cup > throw ball for W > bounce ball to create high ball
Coaching Points:
- move in set position
- hands ready
- the scoop, the Cup, the W
- high ball, hands leading, one knee up.

technical:
in pairs, 1 ball per pair plus one gate/goal
1 serves 1 works.
gk must shuffle back to post and touch then explode forward as server bounces or throws ball in th air for high ball.
progression:
2 pairs in 1 goal or gate.
2 gks work 2 serve
gks must shuffle back and touch post before exploding to catch the ball.
servers will serve balls at same time to create confusion and crowded box.
move to using just 1 ball per working gks (match up gks height and age)
Coaching Points:
- drive knee up (correct knee for correct side)
- swing arms back
- Catch at highest safest point

Game:
2 goals 1 box
2 gks start in box and coach bounces or throws ball into middle for gks to win
if gk wins the ball he must shuffle outside of box and then place ball to have a shot at goal
if gk loses they must flatten off/back peddle to the goal to save incoming shot from opposite gk
progression:
if gk wins the ball they must roll or pass ball into line of team mate to have a shot
if gk loses they must get into goal and line with ball to face opposite team player
