Organization:
-See diagram for set-up and equipment
-Area approx. 30x30 around 2 goals
-Players work through a variety of dribbling and shooting exercises to develop 1v1 skills and finishing techniques.
Possible variations/progression:
1. RWB past mannequin and take a shot
2. Dribble at mannequin and perform side-step 1v1 move, then shoot
3. Dribble at and past mannequin and perform inside/ouside cut 1v1 move, then shoot
4. Make it a race/competition between teams
5. Put in GKs
Coaching Points:
Dribbling - good first touch forwards, attack defender at speed, use of moves, changes of speed/directions
Shooting - angle of approach to the ball, position of standing foot, part of ball to strike, part of foot to use, body position, follow through, a positive attitude
Running with the ball - bigger touches out of feet, toe down to push it with laces
Ball mastery - close control, execute techniques

Play is started by one player (Player A here) dribbling towards their opposite goal. That player shoots then immediately becomes the defender to oppose the next attacker (Player B). This sequence continues. (Player Shoot - Chase - Go Off).

4v4/5v5 Small-sided game. Create a no-go zone where players must shoot outside of. Players who kicks ball out must retrieve it back on a cone, whilst position take another ball off a cone and continue quickly to try and create an overload advantag.
Variations/Progressions:
-Add a GK to protect the goals
-Allow an attacker to dribble into zone - to create 1v1s

Arrival Activity/Warm-Up (10 mins)

Players dribble through throughout the area to and from different pylons. Practicing ball mastery skills, 1v1 moves, and keep-ups.

-Agility, balance, changing speeds/directions
-Close control, lots of touches, use of moves, changes of speed/directions
-Awarness of space/players around them
