Activity (15 mins)

Organization:

1. 20x10 area set up as shown

2. Create two gates for players to dribble through, 5 yards wide, one each goalline

3. Creat a ball pit for each team opposite where they will line up

4. Separate players into 2 teams (Team A and Team B)

Instructions:

1. Coach begins the game by rolling a ball to one of the teams.

2. The first player in each line will enter the field of play and play 1v1 to goal.

3. A goal is scored when it is dribbled through the gate and stopped on the other side.

4. Players will compete for 20 seconds, until a goal has been scored, or until the ball goes out of bounds.

5. When a goal has been scored, the player who scored must run to their team's ball pit and pass a ball to their teammate. The opposing player must high five their teammate before they can enter the field of play.

6. If a ball goes out of bounds, both players exit the field and the game is restarted by the coach with a new player from each team.

7. If time has expired, ball is left on the field. Both players must high five their teammate before they can enter the field of play and compete.

8. Play to an allotted amount of goals scored total, by a team, or an amount of time has passed.

Coaching Points:

1. Body positioning

2. Big touch vs Small touch

3. Ball Control

4. Focus, attention to game

5. Type of pass to teammate

Progressions:

1. Player scores, player stays on. Instead of passing to teammate, player gets ball and dribbles at goal.

2. Allow players to pass the ball through the gates instead of dribble.

3. Add pug goals for players to score in
