1v1 skill moves (15 mins)

Warm-up.

Every player has a ball taking different touches with inside, outside, and soul of the foot. Players will practice different attack, change of speed and direction moves.

Attack:

-Lunge fake: Dribble at speed with control. Lunge to the left side of ball and drop the right shoulder before taking the ball with the outside of right foot and accelerating

-Scissors: Step behind ball as if preparing to take it with the outside of one foot, then step over the ball and take it with the outside of the other foot.

-Double Scissors: Push ball forward, make alternate scissors steps and take with outside of first foot.

Change of Direction:

-Inside and outside cut: Using the inside or outside of the foot to cut the ball the opposite direction player is dribbling.

-Cruyff Turn: Fake kick with inside of foot, but instead cut the ball behind the standing leg and change directions with speed.

-Stepover: With ball moving, stepover ball so ball is outside of stepover foot, turn and take the ball with the other foot.

-Rivolino: Same as stepover, but take the ball with outside of stepover foot.

Change of speed:

Stop/Start: Dribbling at speed, player quickly stops the ball and then pushes it ahead at a more rapid pace.

Open and Go: Player is dribbling slowly, they will open their body up to the right or left of where they are facing, opening the hips and pulling leg like they will pass it. Instead of striking the ball they will tough it forward again and change speed.
