Setup 4 goals opposite each other with gates in front of all four goals.
The defender begins by passing the ball to the attacker. In order to score the attacker must dribble through the gate in front of the goal before finishing with a shot into that goal. The defender must simply stop his opponent scoring. If the defender steals the ball, he may attempt to score in the opposite goals and roles reverse.
Variation: Go to 2v2, 3v3, 4v4
Players can score in either of the 4 goals by dribbling through the gate and shooting, or by passing to their team mate through the gate, who must shoot first time.
* Can you close down the space quickly and force indecision from the attacker
* Can you decide when to jockey or when to steal the ball
* Can you keep your eyes on the ball and not be tricked by feints etc
* Can you stay light on your toes and use quick feet when jockeying

In a 40x40m area have one team attacking the big goal, the other the two pop up goals. Stand back and ecourage and applaud when players defend their opponent 1v1. Swap ends regularly so both teams are getting a chance to finish against the keeper.
