Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): North Arlington: Mini Kick Day 2: Firefighters (Start Time: 2016-07-26 16:30:00)

Chutes and Ladders

Organization: 30 yds x 40 yds

*4 teams (teams of 2, 3 or 4)

*Put on top of each team's tall cone their teams gas masks cone (mask) matches the color of each team's corner cone (each team's firestations)

*Next to the gas masks, coach lays each teams firefighter's coats (matching pennies)

*On the endlines by each corner of the grid place excercise ladders/ cones (firefighter ladders to get into the burning building)

Inside the burning building place soccer balls (dogs/cats) for the players to rescue

Instructions: Each team tries to rescue as many dogs/cats as they can from the burning building, players must have on their gas mask and firefighters coat in order to enter the burning building. If players gas mask falls off they must pick it up before they can continue dribbling.

Coaching Points: Head up, changing directions, proper surface of foot when dribbling, messi/ronaldo touches

Progressions: Players dribble soccer balls back to their cone

Players must start their engines to bring dog/cat/etc back to their fire station to start their engines players must do five toe touches

Regressions: Players carry the balls back to their fire station

Remove excercise ladders players run to their gas masks/firefighter coats

Save the Skyscrapers

Organization:

same as fire truck ride players begin in the corner all soccer balls buckets of water in the middle. add 4 goals for four buildings ask kids if they ever been to New York City big cities.

Instructions:

players start on coaches command "Fire" players must get their buckets (soccer balls) and put out the fires (dribble/shoot) ball into the pugg goals (buildings)
