Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Creating Attacking Options (Start Time: 2014-11-10 17:30:00)

End zone game (50 mins)

Set Up

30x30 area with 5x30 end zone coned off at each end.

6 v 6 in middle area

Players combine and interchange trying to find an opportunity to dribble the ball into the end zone they are attacking toward.

Once they have stopped the ball in the zone, they leave and get back into defensive shape and the next team collect the ball and begin their attack.

Progressions

One player from each team have a player in the end zoneand are only allowed to move around the zone.

5 v 5 in the middle with the objective to find the target player. (1 goal) Play restarts with the defending team attcking.

Two players from each team at either end zones

4v4 in the middle with the objective find the end player who needs to lose his defender in the end zone. If the pass is successful the attacker leaves the end zone and begins another attack toward the other zone. The player who made the initail pass into the end zone replaces the target player.
