Set-Up
The players are arranged across the diagonally opposite practice areas (as shown above)
How it works
On the coaches command, players must dribble the ball within their area. Players must manipulate the ball while avoiding interfering with the other players.
Coaching Points:-
1. Keep the ball close
2. Keep your head up
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Control the ball with:-
1. Inside surface of the foot
2. Outside surface of foot
3. Sole of foot
On coaches command players should leave their ball and swap with another player's in the group
On coaches command, red and blue players swap playing areas by dribbling across.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
1. Use weaker foot
2. Cycle the surface you use to dribble the ball if you can (sole, inside, outside, sole inside outside etc)

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Transition Requirements:- None
How it works
Play starts with a pass from the defender across the practice area to the player opposite. The receiving player tries to dribble the ball past the defender and across the end line.
Once the player successfully dribbles across the line or the ball is defended then the turn is over. The attacker joins the defender's line and the defender joins the attacker's line.
The next players then enter the practice area and play continues.
Coaching Points:-
1. Keep ball close
2. Change of pace
3. Change direction
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Pr - use cones to set up smaller gates through which the attacker must dribble.
R - restrain the starting position of the defenders i.e. start from the corner, giving the attackers more space to dribble.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Can players use one of a selection of tricks given to them to beat the defender (Flip-Flops, stepovers, chops) etc.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Transitions Requirement:- Remove red cones, 4 x mini goals into play.
How it works
(Using left hand side practice area as the example)
Goals worth 1 point
Play starts with one red player trying to beat the blue defender with the aim of scoring in the mini goal.
If the reds are successful then another red player can immediately join with a ball and attack the blue defender as a 2v1.
If they score then they score another 1 point and that is the end of their turn. The blues now get a chance to attack in the same pattern.
If a defender wins the ball then they can try and score for 1 point.
Play resets with the blues attacking to the same pattern.
Every time an attack is unsuccesful then play resets and the other team become the attackers.
Coaching Points:-
Keep head up - to check position of defender and fellow attacker in 2v1
Keep ball close - to facilitate quick change of direction/pass
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
P1 - time limit on getting a shot off
P2 - alter position of goals (e.g. to one side) to make it easier to defend
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
1. Can players in the 2v1 play off max 2-touch
2. Can players use one of a selction of tricks given by the coach (step-overs, chops etc)

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Small Sided Game
Transition requirement:- remove mini goals and cones to leave one lage practice area.
How it works
Normal football rules apply.
1 point for a goal.
If a player can beat a defender one on one (as determined by the coach) and the team score in the same possession then they score 2 points.
If a player can beat a defender one-on-one using one trick from of a selection agreed with the players beforehand, they score 3 points.
