Organization: Neutral zone in middle
2 20x25 areas with 3 players(White), goalkeeper (Yellow), and opposing forward (Blue)
Instructions: Game starts in either of the outside areas with a pass from coach. Get 5 consecutive passes, then you can send a player in to the neutral area, where he has a maximum of 5 seconds to shoot and score for 2 points. Forwards job is to break up their passes and try to score for 2 points as quickly as possible after recovering the ball. Ball restarts from coach only if it goes out of bounds or in the neutral zone before 5 passes.
Coaching Points:
Patience- we got to 5 passes, do we have a clear through ball? If not, we should continue to pass until we can
Angles of support- make sure we are moving around to make a short pass possible everytime the ball moves if possible
Using our keeper!!
Communication- Calling the name of the player you are passing to, that way even a bad pass has a decent chance of being recieved. As receivers, making it very clear where you want the ball (point at the foot you want it on, call for the through ball)
Progressions/Regressions:
(P) After 5 passes, you can find the forward in the other area who can score for 3 points.
(R) After 5 passes, you can dribble into the area and take a shot within 5 seconds of getting into the neutral zone
