WUP / Progression (10 mins)
A) Neuromuscular Warm-Up (Jump & Elevation)
Description
The session begins with a box jump activation exercise designed to develop leg strength and vertical elevation. Goalkeepers perform controlled jumps from the box while maintaining balance and proper body posture.
This phase prepares the body for aerial actions and activates the neuromuscular system before moving into technical work.
Coaching Points
Explosive take-off from both legs
Maintain body balance after landing
Eyes always on the ball trajectory
Strong arm drive to support elevation
B) Progression :
Timing & Momentum Development
Description
Goalkeepers work with a BOSU platform, generating aerial momentum while performing short adjustment steps to improve timing before attacking the ball.
The goal is to reinforce short footwork patterns and aerial coordination before crosses.
Coaching Points
Short explosive steps before the jump
Maintain body control in unstable surfaces
Generate upward momentum
Strong catch technique at the highest point
