Progressive Warm-Up (20 mins)

Phase 1 (5 minutes) - 4 groups of 4v2 rondos 

Phase 2 (6 minutes) - 2 groups of 6v4 Rondos. Rotating defenders every 90 Seconds

Phase 3 (7-8 minutes) - 3 Team Possession (2 teams of 7 and 1 team of 6)

2 minutes overflow for transition between Phases. Keepers warm each other up

Speed Work (20 mins)

Set-Up - 3 lines. Each has 2 cones that are spaced 12 yds/steps apart

Initial Details - Form and Shape of Body before sprint. One person goes and the rest reacts

Sprinting Elements

  • Run 100% to Line 1 then slow down to a stop to Line 2 (two times)
  • Run 100% to Line 1 then stop immediately. Walk to Line 2 after (two times)
  • Run 100% to Line 1 then walk to the other end of the field (once)
  • Run 100% to Line 2 (four times)
15:1 Rest to Work ratio (example: 3 second sprint means 45 seconds rest)

Tournament (50 mins)

4 Team Tournament (pre-divided by coach). Format:

9:40 - 9:50 - AvB and CvD

9:50 - 10:00 - AvC and BvD

10:00 - 10:10 - AvD and BvC

10:10 - 10:20 - Semi-Finals (1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd)

10:20 - 10:30 - Finals and 3rd Place
