3 v 3 Games
Setup = 24m wide by 18m long. Three equal attacking zones.
3 sets of GATES on each side.
The two defenders start with the ball and passes it into to opposition attacking players.
Defenders can move anywhere across all zones.
Attacking players RULE - Only one player per each zone!
Can the attacking team dribble the ball through either of the gates.
If the defenders win the ball, can they dribble through the gates?
Points - Defenders get 2 points if they dribble through the gates. Attackers get 1 point for going through the gates. 3 minute rounds - If defenders get more points then attackers, attackers do push ups! Swap defending two players every 3 minutes.
Coaching points
1) Can you carry the ball into a different zone - diagonal run with the ball. This creates angles for a pass and forces your teammates to change their zone and make a forward run.
2) When changing your zone can you continue to make a forward run?
3) Can you score without taking a player on in a 1 on 1 situation?

Gauntlet Challenge
2 v 1 in each section with two wingers supporting the attackers making it 4 v 1.
The first two attackers start with the ball and look to attack the 1st defender. They can pass the ball to the wingers (bouncers) to make it to the next zone - the safe zone.
Once they make it to the safe zone they repeat the same process 2v1 + 2 wingers but this time to try and score a goal. They can only shoot once they make it to the shooting zone.
Once the 1st set of players have had a go at the gauntlet the become the bouncers (wingers) in zone 2.
Zone 2 bouncers become Zone 1 bouncers.
Zone 1 bouncers become Gauntlet attackers in the next round.
Swap defenders (and GK) after 3 or 4 minutes. Repeat until everyone has had enough goes of combination play.
