1v1 Change Game
Set up field as shown (use warm up field) - note: Field is divided into two so the activity can be played on both halves as shown.
FIRST PROGRESSION:
Without a soccer ball, attacking player enters the attacking lane, defending player enters defending lane. Players cannot cross into each other's lane.
Attacking player must try to stop on the WHITE end line before the defender enters the scoring zone.
Attacking player will get a point if they are successful. Defending player will get a point if they are in the zone when Attacker touches end line.
Each game should last 10 seconds maximum. Keep game moving quickly.
COACHING POINTS:
Players should be encouraged to use quick changes of direction, or body fake/feint to get defender off balance.
SECOND PROGRESSION:
With a soccer ball now, attacking player will try to stop the ball anywhere in the scoring zone before defending player can get his body into the scoring zone. Players are still prohibited from entering into each other's lane. (meaning: Defender is NOT trying to win the ball here...)
COACHING POINTS:
Attacking player will use quick changes of direction, body fakes/feints to get defender off balance.
Acceleration into scoring zone after defender is 'off balance' will increase scoring chance.
Use multiple changes of direction and fakes (step-over, scissor, jab step, drag back, various cuts)

1v1 With Goals
Field is divided into two playing areas as shown to involve more players.
Attackers are in the middle with their ball, defenders are on the outside of the field.
Defender cannot enter safe area. Attacker must enter scoring area and then try to score on either pugg goal using Change of Direction/Fakes/Feints. Each goal is worth 1 point.
If Defender wins the ball, he/she can get 1 point by dribbling into the safe area. Game is over when ball goes out of bounds, or someone scores.

MATCH PLAY:
Play 3v3 with substitutes. Rotate on every goal, or every 2 minutes of play. If ball goes out, other team can pass in (below the knee) or dribble in.
