Technical (10 mins)
Explain as a group that we will look at the mechanic of dribbling and that they are to have a ball each, bib on, dribble around the inside of their square whilst keeping the ball close using both feet. DEMO. Upon whistle, group is to freeze with foot on top of their ball.
If player's capabilities are known, split according to technical level. Send them to their square to start dribbling.
Verbal instructions whilst activity is taking place: 20s strongest foot only, 20s weakest foot only, 20s soles of feet only, 20s outside of feet only.
Whistle = freeze.
Group instructions & Demo:
* When coach shouts swap= swap squares.
Mechanical points to coach:
Look up to avoid crashing in to other players coming towards you,
change of pace out of their square.
* coach will also stand in the middle between squares holding different coloured cones up - shout the colour out.
Observation: are players looking up? Do they have the ball too close/too far from their feet to keep full control of the ball?
Challenge: Can players perform a skill when swapping boxes e.g. pirouette, step-over

Put 2 players in a yellow bib and no ball. Explain to the players that they must try and visit the 4 different planets, in any order or as often as they can (squares) without been hit by the asteroid (tackled by a bibbed player).
If tackled, the bibbed players clears the ball towards either goal and carries on.
Observations:
Are players looking up to scan for defenders and avoid them?
Change of speed to reach the planet
Are they keeping ball close to feet?
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Players who've been tackled must join the asteroid team (increase defenders).
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Target: players to aim to reach 10 planet visits in 3 minutes.
Challenge: To challenge strongest player/s - can they visit a different planet to the one they've just travelled from?

Conditioned small sided game (10 mins)
To encourage dribbling, a player must have dribbled through one of 5 gates to gain an extra goal.
Look up to scan for gate and defenders proximity to gate.
Change of direction should a gate not be unmarked.
Change of speed to reach gate quickly.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Regression: make gates wider, overload of attack v defenders on teams to encourage attacking team to dribble.
Progression: Less gates / reduce width of gates.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Challenge: dribble through 2 gates consecutively to win 2 goals.
Remove conditions (15 minutes)

Treasure Island - treasure (balls) placed in the middle of the island.
Players must swim (jog with arms turning) around the outside of the island and when whistle blown, they run inside, get a treasure (ball) and dribble it outside into the sea. They then return the treasure to the island and repeat the game. A treasure is removed every time so one player will lose out each time and become pirates.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Remove one ball at a time. Those without a ball live on the island as pirates protecting the treasure.
