SET UP: 6 station rotation, 6 different actvites challenging throwing and catching in different scenarios.
1) Partner is balancing on a balance board whilst trying to catch an object thrown to them.
2) Partners must stay in hoop when catching the object, everytime they catch it they can move their hoop back 1 step.
3)Rotate turns, can you throw a bean bag into the nearest rung of the ladder, once this has been achieved move to throwing to the 2nd/3rd rung in order etc
4) Throw a ball to knock target off of a bench/chair
5) Can you bounce the ball in both gaps between the hurdles to your partner.
6) Land the ball within the tyre/hoop
KEY POINTS: What type of throw is best to use in each game (over arm for power, under arm for accuracy etc)? What is the best way to catch, stretch for the object or allow the object to come to you?
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: Children will be in charge of making each challenge easier or difficult, depending how successful they are. Children can move nearer/further from target, use weaker arm etc.

Warm up tag game (20 mins)
SET UP: Reds are taggers, blues must avoid taggers, blues get points for every hoop they enter (cannot be tagged when in hoop) if tagged you lose all your points (risk vs reward) If tagged must stand still holding a balance until someone copies your balance. Rotate taggers every couple of minutes.
KEY POINTS: Identification of space, what is the least risky way of moving between hoops/helping to free someone. How can I avoid being tagged - change of direction, fake moves, movement of body
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: Put an item in each hoop and a challenge along with it i.e. balancing a cone on your head whilst on 1 leg, 3 throws/catches with a ball
