Warm Up (10 mins)

Warm Up

Simple Rondo

5m x 5 m grid, split into 4 x 2.5m square.

Player A has the option to pass to any other player within the 10 x 10 grid.

Player A once he passed the ball he must move to another 2.5 x 2.5 Grid.

No more than 1 player in one grid at a time. So the 4 players will have to communicate and move for each other. creating space and options off the ball.

Introduce 1 defender. Provide passive defending

Positioning (30 mins)

Playing Grid 12m x 12m, divided into 4 zones

divide squad of 16 into two teams.

Team A then divides into two and places themselves in zone 1 & 3

Team A1 does repaets the process and places themselves in zones 2 & 4

A must complete a pass to Zone 3 A players and maintain possesion

A1 aims to intercept and maintain possesion themselves

Players to remain intheir own box

Progression

Limit touches

Allow players to rotate with the same teams zone.

Game Training (30 mins)

30 x 15m grid divided into 3 equal zones. (No Goals Required)

divide sqaud into two teams A1 with 8 players and A with 4 players

4 x A1 players into the zone A and the remaing 4 A1 into zone C

4 remaining A players into zone B ( 6 , 8 , 9,10)

ball starts in either zone A or B, each player must recive at least one pass prior to attempting to lay a deadly pass to opposite zone.

One player from the team is allowed into either zone or b to apply a press. creating a 4 v 1 scenario.

The remaining players from team A in zone B have to raote and cut the pasiing lanes to other end.

Training Game (20 mins)

Half Pitch, place two 2 x zones on either side of the pitch (length) No goals required.

Two equal teams, One player fom either side to occupy the centre grid. (6)

Another two separate players from each side to occup the width as bouncers

The objective is every time the 6 completes a pass it is tallied as a goal.

Then once that pass has been completed the role of the 6 rotates to another player.
