In preparation for our cage games against the academy tomorrow, we'll work on overload principles in a 7 v 5 situation.
Play start with GK, can blue team play through box and score in mini goal
If red team win the ball can they score quickly in big goal
Coaching Points.
1. Blue team ensure they keep width and depth on the pitch, no offsides so fwd stay high and make the pitch big.
2. Look to create and work/exploit 2v1's 3v2's etc to create goal scoring opportunities. Player ensure they rotate position and don't stand still.
3. Out of possession, blue team get compact and force the red team to play backwards or wide. Try cutting down passing lines and pressing to make play predictable
