Objectives
1. Improve width retention in the build up.
2. Recognise compact defenses and play around them through switches of play.
3. Recognise pourous defenses and penetrate to break lines.

Set Up
Area 50 x 40 yards. Three goals on each end.
Rules and Conditions
Equal teams with 2 or 3 neutrals. Each team has 2 keepers (don't have to be actual keepers, any two players can play in these positions) that shuffle right and left to cover the goals. The 2 keepers must be in adjacent goals i.e. if one keeper moves from the middle goal to the right goal, the keeper in the left goal has to slide to the middle goal. Players can score in any goal but get a bonus goal if they can score in the goal that isn't covered by a keeper.
Time
3x7 minute games. 1 minute rest.
Progression
Remove neutrals.
Players can only score in avaliable goal.

Set Up
Area 30 x 30 yards split into two 30x15 yard areas. Three gates on mid-line of the area.
Rules and Conditions
Split group into three teams. Two teams are fixed in their own half of the area and work together to possess the ball. Defending team can go anywhere in the area. They are to try and win the ball back. When the defending team wins the ball, they have to transition the ball to the opposite side to where they won the ball for the phase to be complete. The team that loses the ball become the defending team.
Teams can play over the line at anytime, but get points for playing through the gates.

3x7 minute games. 1 minute rest.
Progression
Points are now lives taken from the defending team. Each team starts with 5 lives. First team to lose all of their lives loses.

Defending team can go anywhere to enable compactness and the creation of defensive overloads.
In build up phases team in possession must keep players in their own half vertically - not allowed to cross middle line (red).
In final quarter, players can go anywhere.

Players go through PEP routine including Motor Movement, Dynamic Stretching, Strength, plyometric and sprint (with changes of direction) phases. Focus on techniques and landing mechanics. Use resistance bands for strength development and Post Activation Potentiation.
