W/U Arrival activity (10 mins)

SET UP:

> Rob the nest

> 4 teams in corner zones

> 2 players at a time can go take 1 ball each from the central area to rob/bring back to their corner/nest. They must carry a bib each and exchange with their next team mate when back

> Once all balls are in team nests can we then go and rob other teams nests.

> 5 minute time limit.

> Players then to roam freely looking to avoid, or control balls coaches fire in (bonus balls)- they can return these balls to their nest

> End warm up with a winning team and team photo!!

KEY POINTS:

- can we manipulate the ball in diferent ways?

-how can we turn/retreive the balls from the centre?

-change of direction and speed?

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:

> Add different conditions- only 1 player goes and make it like a relay- teams cheer their team mate on (depends on number of players)

> Gates where players have to pass through, perform feint/turn before they can get back to their area (different colour coded gates for teams)

> Opposite feet

> Make it opposed for players with good ability- protecting the ball

> Defensive roamers

Review / Reflect (to be completed after each session)..
