Organization:- two 20x10 areas
- 2 teams of 4 or similar
- 1 target player in both areas
Instructions: - play 4v4+2 or similar
- after winning possession, defending team counters and plays their target in opposite area
- all players move to play in new area
- points for every successful counter
Coaching Points: - Quick transition to attacking
- Exploit the opponent when unbalanced/disorganized
- Anticipation of turnover
- Identify open space
How can we break forward quickly?
Can we play forward before the opposition recovers?
Progressions: - points if countering team all join their area before defending team
Regressions: - dribble over penetration, no target players

Instructions: - 2v2 target player transition game
- players score by passing to own target players
- after scoring passer switches with target
Coaching Points: - quick speed of play
- target player identifying space before receiving pass
- decision making - when to pass vs when to dribble?
- how to penetrate opposition during transition period - is the defending unbalanced/unorganized?
Progressions: - add goals, target player has to play with one touch on first touch
Regressions: - attackers can only score in attacking half

Organization:- 30x20 area
Instructions: - 2v2 transition game
- players become defense after scoring or shooting ball across endline
- if team is scored on, they're off, new attackers on, attackers that scored become defense
- if ball goes out on sideline, play restarts from own teams endline
- play to 10
Coaching Points: - quick transition to attack after possession is won
- anticipation of a shot to quickly exploit space left behind
- give support, push up fast!
- attack goal right away after possession is won
- play forward when you have the ball (how quickly can you score?)
Progressions: - 3v3s
Regressions: - 2v1s/1v1s
