5 v 2: Passing Angles, playing quickly, keeping possession, recognizing avaliable space and problem solving.
A normal game of 5 v 2 but the player that passes the ball must quickly move to a different section of the grid after making the pass. Also, every grid must contain 1 offensive player at all times. This activity should force players to be intentional with their 1st touch, quick recognition of avaliable space, offensive balance and keeping the ball.
Progression: 1) Add a number of passes that equals a goal 2) Add a touch limit. 3) Add Goals that the defenders try and score on after winning the ball.

4v4 End Zone Game: 6 v 6 +2. 40 x 40. End Zones 8 yds.
1 team scores by connecting 8 passes while the other team scores by having only 5 passes to get into the end zone. 2 touch 1) Dribbiling a ball into the end zone or 2) Receiving and controlling a ball in the end zone. (No player can enter the End Zone before the ball.)
Coaching points: Creating better angles to help your team keep possession. Staying composed on the ball when you are in a 1v1 situaiton and qucik movement off the ball to allow the attacking team to play 1 & 2 touch. Attack on the dribble when the opportunity is on. Timing of the runs. This activity should force players to be intentional with their 1st touch, quick recognition of avaliable space, offensive balance and keeping the ball.

star passing pattern (15 mins)
Cognitive Barcelona star passing pattern:
Before receiving the pass, the player must place one foot inside the circle that is beside them. After the pass is made they must sprint to the middle of the star and touch the cone, then roate to their right.
Progression: We will add a tennis ball to the begining of the line. The person receiving the ball must now check into the circle, then toss a tennis ball to the person behind them. This will encourage the person looking quicky behind them before receiving the ball. This should help to improve field awerness.
