Practice Layout & Transition
Area: 2/3rds of a full pitch, focusing on one side.
Teams: 3 teams of 6 + 2 bounce players
Time: 2-minute blocks per scenario with 2-minute rest x 4.
Overall: 20 minutes total (Work to rest ratio: 4 x 3-minute blocks / 2 minutes between blocks).
Practice Blocks:
Block 1: Check shoulder and find space to play forward
Block 2: Recive on back foot to be able to switch the play
Block 3: Look to play forward as quickly as possible
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
First Phase: Encourage CM to receive and play forward quickly to the nearest space available
Second Phase: Deeper players come forward to receive and transition with their team mates
