3v3 + Target Lines (20 mins)

Organization:

- 20x20 area (can be adjusted for level or needs)

- 3v3 in middle with lines across from each other acting as targets

- Teams can only use targets in their color

- Player passes to target who enters the field, passer goes to end of target line

- Teams possess ball playing, points can be awarded for getting the ball from one target to the other without losing possession

- Player can pass back to target line where the ball came from to retain possession

Coaching Points:

*Movement off ball to open passing lanes

*Body shape when receiving ball to be able to play to bigger part of the field

*Attacking first touch when coming in as a target

*Pressure ball imediately when target comes on, eliminate early ball to other target

4-3-3 Playing Out of the Back (25 mins)

Playing Out of the Back: 8v4 - 9v4 - 9v5 - 9v6

- All players begin within width of box until ball is played to GK

- After ball is played in players expand and defenders come in to pressure

- Attacking team must possess ball across midline

- Can add in restrictions of All Touch, Swithch, Both CBs touch the ball, #9 must touch the ball ect.

- Add players to expand activity and increase difficulty

Coaching Points:

*4 and 5 must split to corners of box when ball is with GK, if they press high they need to drop toward endline

*6 drops inbetween 4 and 3 to split defending Fwds

*2 and 3 must get to touch line and push up the field

*8 and 10 work to find windows in the middle of field to get on the ball. 6, 8, 10 rotate as ball moves laterally
