Method: Conditioned game - team in possession can only dribble forward or pass backwards to begin with. If member of team in possession passes forward, hes sin binned on the spot for 5 seconds, giving the opposition an opportunity to attack quickly and overload.

Coaching Points:

  • decision making- when to pass & when to dribble. 
  • communicate- do we want a switch of play or takeover?
  • spacial awareness - where is there space to dribble?
  • patience in possession - recycle

Method: 6v6 +3, floaters (black( play with the team in possession. Green team begin with possession and should look to play on the areas of the grid, once possession is lost they transition to the inside of the area and red team then become team in possession. Progress to fast transitions from attacking to defending to disturb build up of the opposition.

decision making - can we penetrate centrally or play out to the other side?
