Set Up:
- As shown on diagram
- 25x20m grid
- 6 to 8 players
- 3 to 4 mannequins (different color bibs or numbers to identify)
- 4 soccer balls
- Players will start with 3 players (CB, LB, RB)
- Players will work as a unit to pressure/cover/balance
- Coach will call out color of opposing team (mannequins), players react by apply pressure; using the pressure (closes), cover (next), balance (last) method
- Take up as much space as you can between the offensive player
- Body position and angle of approach; force offensive player away from the goal
- Be aware of the distance between each other
- Consider the distance between offensive and defensive player
- Focus on your defensive stance and balance
- Consider stutter steps when close enough while approaching the offensive player
- Communication (Verbal/Non-Verbal)
- Compactness amongst defensive shape
- Marking the space and don't focus on marking the player
- Invade the space of the offensive player

Description:
- Players will start with GK+3v3 players (LB, CB, RB)
- GK will serve the ball to the offensive players
- Offensive player will try to score and attack the defensive line
- Defensive players will defend and move as a team; using the pressure/cover/balance concept
- Defensive players will try to steal the ball and maintain possession

- Body position and angle of approach; force offensive player away from the goal
- Timing of the tackle
- Distance between offensive and defensive player
- Delay, compactness, stutter steps

Description:- Players will stand on opposite side of the grid
- Defensive player will pass the ball to the offensive player
- Offensive player will dribble the ball towards the defensive zone
- Defensive player will approach the offensive player and apply immediate pressure
- Defensive player will only be able to steal the ball once the offensive player passes the defensive line or enter the defensive zone.
