The press is set to force the Attacking team to the right side. The (#10, 8 & 6) red midfield has to press on and cover the spaces making the blue #4 predictable or set the trap.
Key factors: eg. (movement & cues of opponents, angles of closing down).
Spacing between the red players.
Domino effect of red players moving together and staying compact and preventing pockets of space.

As the blue #4 takes reception, red #11 is showing the option for blue #4 to play blue RB#2. Red #11 is on the front covering the right channel ready to put immediate POB with blue #2 to intercept and counter.Red #10 has to play in the left channel reading the cues of the CB. Two options- fill the space vacated by red #11 or press the blue DCM #6.
Red #6 offers the balance sweeping the DCM for any attempt of blue #4 to bypass and release the pressure with a clip into towards blue #10.

Timing of the midfield shift as a unit. If it is staggered, delayed or someone misses the assignment the team will be split and running 60-yards towards their goal.
