Technical (20 mins)
Technical - evasive dribbling diamond. Changes of directions - inside cut, outside cuts, U turns. Then progress to combining them with a twist off to top of diamond and then a U turn to play back to team mate. Coaches come and put passive pressure on players to turn away from pressure and then release ball. When performing a twist off, coach takes up position outside the cones to apply pressure. Have players all start with a ball first, have to race back to start and break cone line before next player goes (Release).
Instruction points :
- change of direction, change of pace (medium to fast. Why?)
- eyes up immediately after changing directions
- dribble on first touch
