40 x 30 yard area. 6 v 6 with 2 floating players. Teams can only score from a cross. We focus on getting the ball wide early and into the corners. Wide players having good delivery, timing of runs in the box and finally move onto overlapping runs, along with good technique on the finish.
Progressions:
1. Must Score from a cross with the wide men unopposed.
2. Must score from a cross from an overlapping run.
Coaching Points:
1. Try to get the ball wide early.
2. Quality passing.
3. Patient on the build up, if under pressure.
4. Good quality on the cross.
5. Try to attack with good technique.
6. Hit the target.

50 x 70 yard area. 8 v 8. Both teams playing a different formation.
1-3-3-1 vs 1-2-3-2.
Progression:
Look to play an overlap in the wide area.

Technique (15 mins)
20 yards across the middle of the diamond with starting stations (gates) 10 yards from the mannequins. Two balls work from both ends of the diamond with a variation of passing and setting with good support. Mininum of 8 players.
Progressions:
1. Pass and follow, from one end to the other.
2. Change direction
3. 1st man sets back to starting player who then passes wide.
Key Coaching Points:
1. Move off & receive with furthest foot.
2. quality of passing.
3. Opposite movement.
4. Arched run, show of hand, straight pass.
