For this week we will continue to work on a change of direction skill set. Pressure will be added front the front in order to encourage decision making in a 1v1 situation. The goal is for each player to be confident on the ball and using a change of direction skill move to unbalance the defender.

Instructions
Exercise 1:
1. Player A will dribble towards the first cone and perform a change of direction skill to next cone
2. Player A will perform another change of direction skill at 2nd and 3rd cone
3. Once Player A reaches the last cone this will trigger Player B to repeat the same action from the opposite side
4. Have players compete channel vs channel to who can reach the end first
Exercise 2
1. Every Player on line B will have a ball
2. Player B will play a pass to player A and apply pressure by becoming a passive defender
3. Player A must perform a change of direction move desired by coach
4. Player A must take an exit touch and explode to one of the gates at the end
5. Repeat the process by next player on line B passing to the next player on line A

Organization
2 teams in different colors
Instructions
1. attackers will be placed one corner of the square
2. defenders in the opposite corner
3. attacking player must avoid being tagged and penetrate to gates assigned by coach
4. defender will get a point by tagging the attacker
5. introduce ball and attacker must now penetrate through gate with a dribble
6. switch roles after a couple of rounds.
Coaching Points
-head up to identify incoming pressure
-unbalance defender by changing direction
-exaggeration of body movements
-knee over toe/drop shoulder to feint
-never stop in front of defender
-accelerate after beating defender
-speed of play

-player only has 8 seconds to penetrate

Instructions
Foundation 1: Individual Possession
1. Players will dribble around the field using different dribbling techniques
demonstrate and guide the player through the following selection
MESS/LLOYD dribble: head up using the pinky toe (laces) taking small touches quick touches
RONALDO/MORGAN dribble: head up to recognize a lot of space in front of you accelerate with a big touch to attack space
INIESTA/PUGH dribble: head up to recognize small tight spaces using the outside/inside surfaces of the foot to maneuver around using both feet
Introduce and demonstrate players to the following skill moves every week introduce 1 or 2 new skills to practice on
- V turn, L Turn, U turn, Double Scissors, Step Overs, Ronaldo Chop, Maradona, Elastico,Cryuff Turn, the Okocha, Stop starts, Inside Outside, Sole Roll, Feints,
Foundation 2: Defensive Pressure (30 second rounds)
1.The coach will now select 3-4 players to be defenders and put
them in pinnies
2.when the coach says GO! the two players must try to steal
other players balls and transition to goal, once they score they will try to steal more balls off other players in the grid.
3. if the players dribbling the ball can protect it for 30 seconds they will receive a point at the end of the round.
4. change the two defenders every two rounds.
Foundation 3: First Touch
1) Players inside the grid will dribble towards the middle square performing a skill at coaches demand
2) Limited amount of players will be in a ready position ready to receive a pass and use their space to penetrate space inside the grind
3) Players will continue to rotate roles
4) Make it a competition to see which players can the most positive first touches inside the grid for a minute
5) PG add 2 defenders to protect the square and if they suceed they can score in any desired pug goal.
