Organization:
Goalkeepers line up in pairs
Playing Area inside the 18 yard box
Goalkeepers practice techniques for:
- Under arm Toss
- Over arm Toss
- Punt
Instructions:
One Goalkeeper distributes the ball the other makes a save then re distribute
Coaching Points:
Bend the knees for the under arm toss
hit the ball with the laces for the punt kicks
ball service should alway go more to the sides (never down the middle of the field)
Progressions:
Extend the distance of the passes

Organization:
if your formation is 3-3-1
- have you Left and Right defense stand just outside corner of 18yard area as shown for goalkicks
- have the rest of the team push on higher in the postions as shown
Instructions:
- Encourage the goalkeeper to play goal kicks to left and right defense
- Then have them boot the ball up field if under pressure (Ideally you want them passing to the wing midfield who will then try to find striker as shown in this slide)
- as the ball is played up field teammates advance in support
Coaching Points:
Never have the goalkicks play down the middle of the field that will only hurt your team.
The ball will only come right back at your goalkeeper as you may have seen already.

Organization:
- Field Space goal line to half field
- 2 Goals needed
- 2-3 goalkeepers in each goal rotating
Instructions:
Catches the Ball
- Runs to tob of Box
- Then Punts the Ball Upfield trying to scoring in opposing net
Punt Instructions
- Goalkeeper should hold the ball with both hands directly infront of body (as shown in slide)
- Goalkeepers Non Kicking Foot and body posture should be directed towards his/her target (teammate)
- USING THE LACES Goalkeeper makes contact with ball
- BE SURE to follow through after contact for added power
- ball travels up field to target
Coaching Points:
Always Run the ball to the top of the penalty box(18yard area) for best results on kicks

Instructions:
Goalkeepers have to pass the ball by hand to fellow goalkeeper
Goalkeepers score by rolling ball into field players' net
Goalkeepers are not allowed to move after catching the ball
Field players play with feet and score by shooting on Goalkeepers' net
Field Players are allowed to have one goalkeeper in their goal
Coaching Points:
Goalkeepers should using catching techniques to intercept feild players passing
distribution should be a leading pass to teammate

Playing Area is extended with increased number of goalkeepers
Each Goalkeeper has a soccer ball
Instructions:
Goalkeepers hop/skip/shuffle around playing area
Bounce the ball on the ground and catch ball using the 'W' hand shape
Toss the ball in the air and catch with Basket catch and 'W' hand shape
Coaching Points:
Bring the ball into chest after after making catch
always try to catch ball with thumbs/hands in a 'W' form
Progressions:
1 - goalkeepers put the ball on the ground and stretch making figure 8s through the legs
2 - goalkeepers practice reflex catches with ball between the legs
