  • Can you use both feet when running with the ball?
  • No standing zone!

Moving Goal (15 mins)

Session Organisation:

  • Each player with a ball.
  • Field size 20 (L) x 20 (W).

Rules/Explanation:

  • Each player with a ball is to move around area.
  • Coach & Manager or two players hold a pool noodle to act as a goal and constantly move around the area.
  • Players are to dribble around the area & try to score in the imaginary goal held by Coach & Manager.
  • Any player can score in the goal by passing it in between Coach & Manager & underneath pool noodle.
Progressions
  • The time of sets or size of the area can be adjusted to suit the needs and abilities of the players.
  • Aim to improve running/dribbling with the ball.

Technical Coaching Points:

  • As Above.

Tactical Coaching Points:

  • Correct running/dribbling with the ball and passing technique.
  • Ensure you swap players after 1 minute if they are holding pool noodle.
  • Heads Up.
  • Get close.
  • take the shot.

Session Timing:

  • Complete 3 sets of 3 minutes with a 1 minute rest in between sets.
