Organisation:-
A pass & follow exercise
6 x red cones laid out as above distanced to allow a short pass (1 to 2); a medium range pass (2 to 3) and finally a longer pass (3 to 4)
Play starts with player 1 with a short pass to player 2
Player 2 must receive the ball with an open body position and to the back foot to enable the ball to be moved on to player 3 in two touches if possible.
Player 3 sets up on the inside of their cone and must use their first touch when receiving the pass to move the ball to the outside of the cone.
Player 3 then makes a driven pass to player 4.
Player 4 controls and then moves to the starting position.
Once Player 1 has made their pass and has moved to the 2nd cone then the ball can be immediately played to them. This time the next pass is made to player 5, who passes to player 6 etc using the same techniques as described above.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Regression - If too difficult then allow more touches
Progression - pass 3 to 4 can be a lofted or chipped pass or a pass with outside of foot
Progression - 3 plays a 1-2 with player 2
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Take 1st touch with weaker foot
Make pass with weaker foot
Play off 2-touch whenever possible

Organisation
Arrange coloured cones into an area measuring 15m x 15m as shown above. Set up a mini goal in opposite corners of the practice area.
A 3 v 3 (+2) possession game
Red team (set up on outside of the square) must keep possession away from the Blue team. They can make passes to the other Red players or use the yellow inside players.
Inside players should concentrate on keeping an open body position when receiving to enable them to move the ball on quickly.
Teams have 2 minutes to make as many successful passes as possible.
Each pass counts as 1 point. If the team can move the ball via the neutral players and then over to the opposite side (as shown above) they get 2 points
If Blue team win possession then they try and score into one of the mini goals to knock 2 points off the other teams total (both Red & Yellows try to defend)
Team with most overall points wins
Swap roles regularly. Work in maximum 2 minute blocks with 1 minute rest.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Set maximum number of touches for teams & neutral players
Make pitch larger/smaller depending on success
Outside players can either keep to their cones or able to move between cones
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Play off 1/2-touch if possible
