Screen 1 (15 mins)

Warm Up

Objective: Change of speed.

Area: Full court

Equipment: 12 markers,1 ball each.

Time: 15 mins

Organisation:

Players with the ball to run across the defender into the next zone without getting tackled by the defender. They can stop in the free zone with a maximum of 3 touches in 10 seconds taking on the next defender.

Players have to work in pairs to get across, if 1 of them get tagged, they wil take over the defender role.

Technique (20 mins)

Objective: Dribbling the ball to change speed.

Area: Full Court

Equipment: 12 Cones, 9 markers, 1 ball each.

Time: 20 mins

Organisation:

Start the ball from deep, get the player to take a 1st touch forward to the edge of the grid.

Player to push the ball and speed up the next box and continue close control dribble before another burst dribbling and stop the ball in the last grid before rejoining the group on the other side and repeat movement.

AWARENESS

- Look up when pushing the ball forward towards the direction of flow.

WHERE TO CONTROL THE BALL

-To the direction of movement.

-Always infront of you.

-Into the space.

HOW TO CONTROL

- Lean body forward to prepare for acceleration.

- Using instep for fluid control movement.

- Tap the ball gently to keep it under control.

1v1 Duel

Objective: Improve dribbling with change of direction and speed.

Area: Full court

Equipment: 6 markers, Supply of ball.

Time: 20 mins

Organisation:

Defender start by passing the ball to attacker who will decide to take on defender either to the right or left.If defender wins the ball, he will continue to attack the opposite side of the goal.

SSG

Objective: SSG game to coordinate dribbling within a team condition.

Area: Half court

Equipment: 8 cones, Supply of ball. Bibs

Time: 25 mins

Organisation:

Team with the ball will start to attack onto the goals provided. Thy have a choice to score on either goals as shown.
