Hockey tennis

• Split players into equal teams on the pitch as displayed.
• Teams have to try and pass the ball into the opposing end zone to score a point. 
• The opposing team have to try and intercept the pass to prevent the point being scored.
• Teams are not allowed over the centre line. 

• Can add some goals or targets for players to score in which score more points e.g. 2/3

• Receiving skills - 
  • Toilet position
  • Right hand low, lower than the grip
  • Move your feet to get into a good position on your forehand as much as possible. 
 
• Passing skills (slap) - 
  • Hands should be together at the top of the stick
  • Stay low, reach for the ball as far as possible. 
  • Ball should be a stick length away from your left foot.
  • swing around your body with your hand almost scraping the floor (sweep your stick along the floor).
  • Step through post striking the ball to gain extra power.
  • Ball should be level with left foot and 90 degrees to where you are looking to pass.
