Title: Pattern to Goal - option one - 9 Checking - Numerical overload 7&2/11&3 (8:15 - 8:30)
Aim: Put players in a setting where successfully playing a lofted ball and controlling the ball out the air while under pressure from an opponent is the player action / behavior for success. Discuss three options / movement in the scoring phase for this weekend.
Activity/Organization: Players play 7v7 - the first pass must be a lofted ball into the 9,7,11 who is checking into receive the pass from their the game is live. Discuss our principals - find the highest free player, dribbling to attack, numbers in the box.
Progression: Change technique
Coaching Script / Plan for failure:
7:05 - 9's will fail to make contact with their opponent causing them to loose possession - Coach that this is the 9's first responsibility to make sure the opponent doesn't win the space in front of them.
7:09 - 9's will fail to use the inside of their feet to control the ball and as a result will not control the ball within the required space - discuss leaning back into the opponent and using the largest surface area on your foot.7: 12 - The other two players in the front three will fail to either check to the ball or run in the space behind - discuss the back post run.

Activity/Organization: Players play 7v6 - the first pass must be a lofted ball into the 9,7,11 who are running into the Channel to receive the pass from their the game is live. Discuss our principals - find the highest free player, dribbling to attack, numbers in the box.
Coaching Script / Plan for failure:
8:50 - 9 & 11/7 won't have a relationship meaning they will both end up in the channel rather than reacting / working off each other - discuss what this looked like against SA City & what we actually want to occur.
8:55 - 11/7 will run into the box too early and won't attack the back post, discuss having patience in this moment, dragging the opponent out to expose space in the box.
9:00 - Chipping technique into the channel, discuss keeping the ball in play, only having to beat the opponents head to make her turn / run and stretching the game.
