Conditioned Game

Set up/Organisation/Description:

• Length 36 yards, Width between 6 and 18 yards
• 2x 11 aside goals with GK in each
• 3v3 + floater

Instructions/Explanations:

• Ball starts with GK and all players in defensive half
  
• Attacking team must break over half way line by passing over it or dribbling over; cannot shoot from own half
• Once breach occurs a normal game is played until ball exits play
• Each restart play resumes with 2v2 + 1 in defensive half

Coaching points/learning objectives:
Outfielders:

• Width- blindside and across the face runs to get in behind
  
• Use floater to commit defender then find free man
• Wide player dribble inside to trigger overlapping run
  
  Goalkeeper:
  
• Decision making on technique
  
• Awareness of triggers i.e. pace of pass, weight of touch, position of recovering defender
• Positioning in relation to play
• Technical information relating to 1v1s
• Supporting play in possession to create overloads

• 2 lives- GK out and rotate with other GK In team
• Can add challenge- next GK to conceed loses and rotates out
