Warm Up10 mins

Organization:

1. Area set up as shown.

2. Two players with pinnies as defenders, the rest are attacking.

3. One ball with additional if needed.

Instructions:

1. Attacking players will play keep away from the defenders.

2. Play starts with the first pass being free, attackers pass the ball around the area trying to keep it away from defenders. 

3. If a defender wins the ball, they switch places with the player that lost the ball to the defender.

4. If the pass goes outside of the circle, the player that made the bad pass, or the player that did not properly receive the ball will take the place of the defender that has been in the middle the longest.

5. Defenders will play for 2 minutes and/or until they win the ball. 

Coaching Points:

1. Passing: weight, accuracy, to feet, into space

2. First touch

3. Communication

Progressions:

1. P - Make area smaller

2. R - Make area larger

3. P - Limit the number of touches.

Main Theme 120 mins

Organization:

1. 10X10 area set up as shown.

2. Split players into groups of 6, with 3 players inside the grid as attackers and 3 players lined up behind one corner cone with the supply of balls as defenders.

3. Multiple balls

Instructions:

1. The first defender passes a ball into the 3 attackers.

2. The defender immediately steps into the grid and become the defender creating a 3v1 inside the grid.

3. The 3 attackers attempt to put together as many passes as possible, every 3 passes will equal one point. 

4. The attackers continue passing until the defender wins the ball, or the ball is knocked out of play.

5. Once the play is dead, the next defender plays into the same 3 attackers, and play resumes.

6. Teams will switch roles after each defender has defended twice. Attacking team should keep track of all points scored, as the defending team will try to gain more when on the attack.

Coaching Points:

1. Quality of passes such as weight, pace, accuracy.

2. Communication

3. Angles of support on and off the ball.

4. First touch into space.

5. Speed of play/decisions

Progressions:

1. Larger area = easier for attackers but harder for defenders

2. Smaller area = harder for attackers but easier for defenders

Main Theme 220 mins

Organization:

1. 40x40 area separated into two halves, each half again separated into half

2. 12 players (4 groups of 3), two teams per half of field

3. One ball per half with additional on outside

Instructions:

1. One team (attacking) will start with the ball on their half of the field while the other team plays defense.

2. The attacking team will play in their half trying to maintain possession. 

3. One defender will enter the attacking half creating a 1v3 and try to gain possession of the ball. If possession is won the defender will attempt to pass to a teammate on their half of the field.

4. If successful, the defending team switches roles with the attacking and play is continued.

5. The person who caused the turnover enters the attacking half creating a 1v3 and try to gain possession of the ball. 

6. Rotation continues each time possession is lost. If the attacking team plays the ball out of bounds, the defender plays a new ball in from the pile to team and attempts to maintain possession. If the defender plays the ball out of bounds, an attacker plays a new ball in from the pile to team and attempts to maintain possession. 

Coaching Points:

1. Early support - start supporting before the ball is received.

2. Angle of support

3. Movement off the ball

4. Support both sides of the attacker with the ball.

5. Positive touch in space

6. Use deception

Progressions:

1. P - Limit the number of touches
