Football/Soccer Session (Difficult): Line of Engagement SSG

Line fo Engagement SSG

Playing field is full width and 60 yards long. Endzone closest to the net is 20 yards long.

The team with the keeper will have 8 outfield players, while the team without a keeper will have 9 players.

Play always starts with the keeper, the team with 8 players are trying to score on the open net. They can shoot the ball anywhere over the "endzone" line. If the defending team win the ball, they are going towards goal to score on the net with a keeper.

Coaching Points:

- Striker dictates which way the keeper plays, then doesn't allow the CB to switch the play

- Wingers and midfieldiers stay tight to try to limit the options, once the ball does cross the "endzone" line, someone must step and close down the player on the ball
