4v4+2
Purpose: A possession game played in a grid split into 2 halves lengthwise, team in possession plays on the exterior with assistance of two interior Jokers.
Blue begins in possession as shown, taking up outside positions. Two Orange and one Joker occupy each half of the field.
Defenders in interior cannot leave their zone (builds positional ideas.) However, Jokers can move freely within entire interior, but both Jokers cannot be in same zone at the same time.
Play is a basic rondo using interior Jokers to move the ball in both dimensions.
If Orange wins the ball, they quickly switch positions with Blue and play resumes immediately.
Coaching points:
-"Positional" awareness (defending players work only within their zone)
-Quick transition upon winning/losing the ball (expand/contract)
-Press hard upon losing the ball
-Maximize the 2v1 defending advantage in each zone while pressing, force play outside
Progressions:
-Make an additonal horizontal split in the field and require that Jokers need to be in opposite quadrants.

Movement of back 4 and 2 center mids to create space and passing lanes to build out of the back. Can add defenders to build and attackers to defend. Depending on ability, etc...
